In 2016 I wrote an article about the threat of hitting our "Wet Bulb" limits on a broiling planet.

In the United States currently 10's of millions of humans and billions of animals are under an extreme heat watch. Southern Europe and China are both facing a similar threat concurrently. The wealthy humans and their pets can avoid the worst of the heatwaves by retreating indoors to airconditioned rooms, but the wild animals and poor and homeless are at the mercy of the elements.

The electrical grids are working at or close to full capacity. It's only a matter of time before we lose an entire city of people to heat related deaths and all faith in this set of living arrangements will evaporate. Clearly the time of consequences is upon us.

I've added Guy's latest analysis to the ever-growing list of links in the comments section of that blog piece which I'll post below for further reference.

I'm honoured to be your "Mate of Watch" on this catastrophic voyage.

In my activity report from Substack, I get this message "Someone and 15 others subscribed to Nature Bats Last Substack because of you"

Team work, until the lights go out.

Guy and I have both discussed at length the Aerosol Masking Effect. Recent changes in regulations stopped ships dumping their aerosols into the atmosphere, guess what?

They are dumping it into my beloved oceans.
