How many methane flares burn continuisly? There is one in our neck of the woods spewing out of a bloated putrid trash dump. And to think i remember seeing it burn 38 years ago and still going strong. Humans have proven that big brain equals big stupid.especially when put in series.

Thanks for your comment, @Craig Smith. ‘muricans keep on saying, “we’re number one,” and keep demonstrating that we’re only the best at the worst of acts.

Methane, the "Elephant in the Room" that no one wants to discuss, except us!

Yesterday I was on a Zoom call with Guy. I mentioned that about a quarter of the Northern Hemisphere is covered in permafrost. I pointed out that "Mercator's Projection" on navigation charts make the Arctic and Antarctic appear much smaller than they are.

I'll drop my proof of that below for further reference.

Planet warms, permafrost thaws, release methane. Ocean warms, hydrates melt, release methane. How many feedbacks are we up to now?

I identified 68 self-reinforcing feedback loops based on peer-reviewed literature at https://guymcpherson.com/climate-chaos/climate-change-summary-and-update/. I stopped keeping track more than seven years ago. Exactly one self-reinforcing feedback loop is needed to ensure climate change is irreversible.
