Ok, I'm going to add some gallows humour to the discussion.

Imagine if we wobbled the planet into the trajectory of Asteroid 2024 YR4.

To quote the new President of the USA, Elon Musk: "The Most Ironic Outcome, is the Most Likely Outcome"

We've altered the chemical composition of the atmosphere, we've altered the PH of our oceans, drained aquifers, oil fields and melted land ice triggering isostatic rebound and we've altered the axis and speed of rotation of the planet, what could go wrong

When the Three Gorges dam was built and the methane belching reservoir filled, it slowed down the rotation of the planet.

The Mercury bomb oozing out of the melting permafrost is but one of the surprises we will see emanating from the formerly frozen land.

I covered that in my blog post titled "Pestilence: Another Consequence of Losing the Cryosphere and the Permafrost"

"And by filling the facility's reservoir with billions of t of water above sea level, the dam may have caused Earth to change its rotation, according to NASA"
