I have a High Voltage Switching and Protection Certification from the London Electricity Board, I have some experience in this field. In the mid 1890's, I was the electrical engineer at Lennox Wood Computer center in the South of England, we pumped chilled water through Mainframe Computers to cool them down.
The fact that more modern data centres still require water cooling, indicates huge amounts of energy is being used and as usual is wasted as heat as a byproduct.
