“Another day, another threat multiplier.”

You're so casual about it, Kevin. It’s almost as if you accept what's headed our way: worse overheating every day!

As always, thank you for commenting on, adding to, and sharing my work. I appreciate your ongoing efforts to inform others.

Another day, another threat multiplier. A warmer planet is a more humid planet, 7% more water vapor for every 1C of warming, hence more mould. This will threaten the elderly & everyone with underlying health issues, especially respiratory ones. Prem-babies additionally in the gun.

In 2020, I wrote an article titled "Pestilence: Another Consequence of Losing the Cryosphere and the Permafrost," the Lede from just one of the embedded links reads: “For the past 15,000 years, a glacier on the north-western Tibetan Plateau of China has hosted a party for some unusual guests: an ensemble of frozen viruses, many of them unknown to modern science.”

“Scientists recently broke up this party after taking a look at two ice cores from this Tibetan glacier, revealing the existence of 28 never-before-seen virus groups.”

Just two ice cores, uncovered 28 new viruses.

I've added this analysis to that post, which I'll drop below for further reference.

Clearly, we have entered a new paradigm: contemporaneous with this new paradigm, we witness the US Government, the administrator of the worst health system in the affluent, colonial world, gut and destabilize its own health system based on the pseudo-science of RFK, jr, additionally they are threatening to leave the WHO, which threatens people globally.

Anyone else notice that nearly everything the USA does is a threat to someone?

"Hospitals in the US are stepping up mould inspections and turning to more powerful antifungal medications." That comment implies mould in hospitals wasn't previously a priority, wtaf!

One thing that the recent plague taught us is the global 'community' is too fractured to collaborate against such threats, we're literally "On Our Own".

Thanks, Guy, for keeping us in the know. Wasn't it Gilda Radner that said, "It's always something"? The American Public Health Association, APHA (anyone can join), didn't have much on a search by "fungal" and nothing on "Aspergillus fumigatus". But this 2019 article ( https://www.apha.org/publications/public-health-newswire/public-health-newswire/articles/2019/09/03/robert-redfield-on-the-state-of-public-health ) ironically has this quote from the then Director of the CDC, "It is important to stop infectious diseases at their source, before they cannot be controlled and pose a threat to us here at home." Oh, well.

Ms. Radner was correct! Thank you for following my work, and also for this informed comment.

Just did a very quick search and found 50 science fiction books that have fungal infection as a main topic - basically what kills almost everyone. Probably none of them mentioned this dangerous mold. It's the little things that'll get ya! Sorry, not a lighthearted comment...but everyone do have a lovely it's-almost-autumn day!

50 sci-fi books! That's amazing. No lighthearted comments needed when the facts are this bizarre!

Indeed, we have :)

I love it that we can keep it light here at times, we should do so as long as we can, it's getting harder to laugh.
